I wrote 'Victorious' for the debut album of a close friend of mine, Philadelphia. ('Toxic Beauty' is available on iTunes)

'Victorious' is an anthem intended to awaken hope amongst our fellow South Africans, as well as people around the world - A hope that we can live in a country and a world, where, through unity across racial boundaries, we can win the battle against 'apartheid' (racism) and overcome our hardships and differences and be "Victorious" as a nation and as people.

Hi peeps

Just came back from beautiful Los Angeles - I spent a weekend with great friends and had the privilege of singing at the Bat Mitzvah celebration of a camp friend of ours. It was my first ever Mitzvah - I'm honored to have witnessed the beautiful traditions and symbols that celebrate the life of an amazing young girl and welcome her into adulthood. 

Shout out to the Shores, Jay, Taimi and a new friend Maureen!

Hi Yall's

I've been spending most of the summer in the UK performing with some really great musicians at a few Jazz Festivals in England. I also had an opportunity to work on an International project with Universal Music/Decca Records UK and Compass Management. It is interesting to see what goes on inside those Major Record Labels. The music is good and it's been fun working with musicians from all over Europe and the States. I'll write a little something-something a bit later to keep you guys in the loop.

Hope your summer (or winter, depending on where you are) has been the best summer ever!

It is amazing how we get attached to people and places - We meet as strangers but soon grow to love each other intensely. Who knows when we will have to say goodbye...again?

An amazing opportunity has come about during the past two months of my music career and I can not wait to share it with you all. I will however postpone to tell you the good news until everything is set in stone - I'll let you know by the end of May.

It is with great relief that I joyfully inform you that the CD's arrived last week...looking sweet and sounding nice! We are ready for the release on Tuesday, April 21st.

The band on the album is as follows: Francois- Vox & Piano, Heather Crawford-Guitar, Chris Virtue-Acoustic Bass, Greg Matthews- Vibes & Percussion, Shannon Quin- Violin, Matt Mitchel- Cello.
There are also a few surprises on the album- If you know the names Kristjan Bergey and Al Black, you might know what I am hinting at.

The artwork was designed all the way back in South Africa by my friend Lia Schutte. She is secretly a super hero at night, but works as a graphic designer and art director during the day at a top Johannesburg design company - Thanks Li.
I'm not going to tell you too much about what the artwork looks like, but I will tell you this much. Eating popcorn never looked more attractive!(Heather...)

Thank you so much for all your support during the time of the album's production. I am really looking forward to the album's release.
